AC Repair deemed an essential service for Katy, Richmond and Southwest Houston
When your central air conditioner breaks down, it needs a repair right away! While COVID-19 has made operations different, Terry’s A/C & Heating is committed to continue our day-to-day operations to make sure all of our customers have access to expert AC repairs and service.
As this situation continues we want to share what we are doing to keep our employees and our customers safe. It is our goal to keep you cool and do it safely in the Katy, Richmond and Southwest Houston area.
Complying with health authorities
We are monitoring local conditions in Houston, Harris County, and Fort Bend County. We also comply with all of our local and state health authorities and with the Centers for Disease Control recommendations. This means we will
- wear a mask or facial covering,
- wear gloves,
- keep our distance,
- wash our hands and
- sanitize surfaces and equipment.
We also have begun a daily temperature log for our field technicians.
When obtaining equipment and parts we will follow these procedures and minimize contact whenever possible. We also wipe down surfaces in our customers’ homes as necessary in addition to surfaces, tools and equipment we use to do our job. We also launder our uniforms daily through a professional service, as we normally do at any time.
Monitoring our health
As an essential business, we monitor the health of our employees before sending them out on any job. Any employee who feels sick or reports a known exposure is encouraged to stay home. We are also logging daily temperatures before the day starts. Our dispatcher/office manager is working remotely from home. For service and repairs, our HVAC technicians arrive in a well-marked truck and wear appropriate uniforms and identification.
Scheduling a service call
Because we see many customers in many homes, we also ask each customer about their health status. We may kindly ask if we can reschedule a service call if you have experienced any COVID-19 symptoms; have been diagnosed or received treatment for COVID-19 in the last two weeks; or have recently been tested and don’t yet have the results of your test.
Depending on whether you need a repair, maintenance, a tune-up, or HVAC installation, we may be able to do a contactless service call. We will need to know more about what is going on with your air conditioner in order to determine if this is possible.
We can make paying for a repair or service contactless at your request. We can process a credit card over the phone or send you a link to pay online.
