Terry’s A/C & Heating Partners with Carrier on HVAC Extended Labor Warranty

Warranties for air conditioning and heating equipment generally include a limited warranty for parts. If you register that warranty with the manufacturer like Carrier, that warranty usually doubles! This is great protection in the event of a mechanical failure and guards against the unexpected. But, warranties do not generally include the price of labor to diagnose the problem, curate the new part, file the warranty paperwork and send in the defective part for manufacturer inspection. As a participating Factory-Authorized Dealer Terry’s A/C & Heating is partnering with Carrier so we can offer our customers an HVAC extended labor warranty as an additional protection to their residential HVAC system.

“We consider our customers as part of our family,” says Terry’s A/C & Heating Owner Rob Terry. “While we can’t control the rising cost of HVAC equipment, offering an extended labor warranty can give our customers greater peace of mind in the event of an unexpected failure.”

How does it work?

Terry’s A/C & Heating now offers this warranty as a further protection to our residential customers to make warranty service on new equipment we install even easier than it was before.

  • For any complete Carrier system purchase, Terry’s A/C & Heating will offer the option to add-on a labor warranty for up to five or ten years for residential systems.
  • For all Infinity-level Carrier system purchases, Terry’s A/C & Heating will add a 10 year labor warranty in addition to the Manufacturer’s parts warranty for residential systems.

What doesn’t an extended labor warranty cover?

An extended labor warranty will not cover a part that is out of warranty. It will also not cover a part that has failed because it wore out due to normal wear and tear. We recommend an inspection and regular maintenance twice a year — on your heater in the fall and your air conditioner in the spring. We are often able to spot things before they become problems.

When will these warranties be available?

Labor warranties will be available from select Carrier Factory Authorized Dealers like Terry’s A/C & Heating starting September 1, 2019 for residential HVAC equipment.

Does this change the manufacturer’s warranty?

No. Carrier still offers a five year limited warranty on all of the parts for your new residential HVAC system. Carrier doubles that warranty to ten years when the warranty is registered. This is why Terry’s A/C & Heating always registers new parts and HVAC systems (heat pumps, central air conditioning, furnaces, ductless HVAC units and more) for our customers, so they can take advantage of the full warranty period just in case they ever need it. In addition, Carrier continues to offer its satisfaction guarantee. It guarantees that within one year of your HVAC’s equipment installation, they will either correct any issue or remove the equipment and refund your money. They stand behind their equipment, and we stand behind our workmanship. This is why we are not off the job, until it’s done right!
